  • It also is wise to cut down on fattening foods such as cream, butter, oil, cheese, and shortening. You can find low-fat replacements if you need an oil for cooking.
  • If you want to cut down on the consuming of greasy and fatty foods you can also eat servings of beans or other legumes. These have just as much protein in them as certain high-fat red meats and pork. They also are high in fiber, and fiber helps regulate your digestive system.
  • If you do eat meat that is kind of fatty you could always cut off the fat. If you do this before you cook it you will not incorporate so much fat from the meat into your food.
  • It also would benefit you to cut off the skin of your chicken or other poultry before you bake or broil it. Either that or at least you are advised to take the skin off before you eat it because this is where all that extra calories often resides.
  • Another very helpful tip for people who want to lose unwanted pounds is to eat less fried foods. The more cheese curds, fried chicken, potato chips, and breaded fish you pass up the less weight you will carry.
